Those lazy hazy crazy days of
summer...Well, whatever the weather,
what better way to spend a summer evening that listening to music? If the
weather's good, it's lovely to go out. And if the weather's mediocre, music
will take our minds off it! So come along to our July concert knowing that
you'll enjoy yourself either way.
On Tuesday July 12th, the evening starts at 7.00pm with
Geoff Howells,
our welcome artist for the evening. What a difference it makes to have good
music playing as we take our seats in the hall.

At 7.30pm, Mark Thompson takes his
seat at the Yamaha EL90 orchestral keyboard. Mark has visited us several
times already, and has left a warm glow behind each and every time. He has
won prizes for his playing since an early age, and has always had 'a lovely
way with him'. His playing is of the highest order, and his choice of
repertoire is bound to please.
As if that isn't achievement enough, Mark is also a
graduate in mathematics!
The first time we heard Mark, several years ago, we said
"that young man is going to go a very long way!" Tonight he is indeed,
coming a very long way from his home in Newcastle, so let's welcome him with
a good turn-out.
On
Wednesday 20th July, the
The Keyboard Group are taking to the hills -
the Brecon Hills to be exact, as this is the day of their outing to the Brecon
Mountain Railway.
If you've not booked your place, you'd better hurry as they're going fast!
